In our case, definitely strawberry-caramel, as you will first smell the strawberries and after the bite also their sweet and sour taste followed by a fine caramel.
We use so-called lyophilised strawberries, which are freeze-dried with water. Which means that the strawberries will remain just as tasty as they were before this treatment.
According to our recipe, we explicitly "massage" strawberries into caramel by hand so that they reach the largest possible area of each ball of our popcorn. The temperature of the caramel is very important in this process and the lack of time we have available for this process is critical.
The reward, however, is the distinctive aroma of strawberries in combination with crunchy butter caramel.
